Global Mission FAQ

  • There are a few ways you can consider which mission assignment may be right for you. Begin by praying and seeking God’s direction. God’s guidance will be the most important factor for you to take into consideration while making your decision. Next consider that your experience might be more fulfilling when you choose a mission that utilizes your skills, talents and giftedness. Practical factors, such as time of year, location and your personal health and fitness, may also influence your final decision.

    • You must be a follower of Christ.

    • Ensure your passport is up to date and not expiring within 6 months of the trip.

    • Ensure you are up to date on your immunizations.(Specific immunizations needed for your area of travel will be included in your team handbook).

    • You must assemble a Barnabas Team. (We will explain more about this in your team training).

    • You are willing to raise support.

  • It is recommended that each participant be 14 years of age or older. Consideration will be given to younger team participants if they are being joined by one or both of their parents.

*Exceptions may be made for youth-oriented teams.

  • The suggested cost of a mission covers all expenses including transportation, food, lodging, travel insurance, excursions and ministry expenses. Items not covered would be meals in airports and souvenirs.

*Please note, the cost of each mission trip is a suggestion and may be subject to change due to unexpected travel fees and the ever fluctuating Canadian dollar.

Child Sponsorship

At CA Church we partner with Mexico to sponsor the children living at the Guacayvo Boarding School. Your sponsorship provides a child with clean water, nutritious food, medical care, education and spiritual nurture.

You and your sponsor child will have the opportunity to communicate via written correspondence and you can send them small gifts. As a sponsor, you will receive updates on your child and you may even be able to meet them in-person on one of our short-term trips!

Our Partners

Mexico

CA Church has partnered with Pastor Tomas and Tarahumara Ministries for over 15 years. Tarahumara Ministries began out of the desire to reach the impoverished Tarahumara tribe living in the remote Copper Canyon of northern Mexico. Today Pastor Tomas and his team have expanded their work into many other areas of Mexico, working alongside local pastors in Babicora, Ensenada, Ahuatitla, Jalisco, Durango, Oaxaca and Chiapas.

Philippines

CA Church partners with two organizations in the Philippines, Gentle Hands and Metro World Child. Gentle Hands is a child and youth welfare agency on the front lines of rescue and rehabilitation. Gentle Hands desires to improve human life and communities through the love of Jesus and family centred care. Metro World Child (MWC), reaches children in the Philippines living in abject poverty. Each week MWC partners with local churches to reach more than 20,000 impoverished and neglected children through their Sunday School program and visitation.

Middle East

In order to protect our Global Partners working in the Middle East, the content shared on this page will be minimal. For more information you can email us.

Zimbabwe

CA Church has partnered with Villages of Hope Africa (VOH) for many years. VOH is an organization bringing hope to children in need throughout 5 countries in Africa by providing education, nutrition, shelter and healthcare. Their mission is to bring lasting hope to orphans and vulnerable children by providing them, and their families, with holistic and loving care so they can embrace adulthood as contributing members of society.

International Workers

Jesus called us to go into the world and make disciples of all nations. We encourage everyone to boldly go outside of their cultural context either as a short-term mission participant or a long-term International Worker. Spreading God’s love is every person’s responsibility and we can all participate. Because of this CA Missions partners with, and supports, many individuals who have taken seriously the call on their lives to share the Good News to the ends of the earth.
