Why serve?
We love because God first loved us, and we serve because Jesus served. By serving with us you can be a part of what God is doing here at CA Church. Whether you’re serving coffee, helping in the parking lot, being a youth leader, or teaching kids lessons, we could not do what we do without you—and we don’t want to!
Weekend services
If you are someone who is hospitable and loves interacting with people, our Weekend Serve Team is for you! Whether you’re interested in fostering a warm environment through serving coffee, caring for our church by facilitating a safe and helpful parking lot, or showing love from the first moment someone walks through the door by greeting them with a warm smile; we’d love to have you join the team! This involves serving on Sundays, typically before and after services.
Community Group
Leader
This is a great way to serve if you are someone who is relational, hospitable, and somewhat organized! As a Community Group Leader, you’re role would be building relationships and walking with others by weekly hosting a small group of people in your home and facilitating discussions and conversations about our lives, relationships with Jesus, and Scripture. We also have occasional Community Group Leader training nights so you don’t need to worry, we will walk with you as you walk with others!
CA Youth
Are you passionate about next-gen ministry and want to be a part of a fun and vibrant team? As a member of the CA Youth Team on Thursday evenings, you have the opportunity to befriend, love, and walk with youth through some of their most formative years, consistently pointing them towards Jesus, and having a ton of fun doing it! There are lots of ways you can be a part of this: Small Group leading, helping with tech, food prep, security, or games!
CA Kids
At CA Church we really believe in building up the next generations. We would love for you to come alongside us as we love, teach, and care for our wonderful CA Kids!
This team requires serving during Sunday services (some kids events are on weekdays/nights but optional).
Worship
Are you musically gifted, instrumentally or vocally, and want to use your gift for God’s glory? By joining the worship team you will work alongside other musicians to serve Jesus and his church through facilitating an atmosphere for people to worship and encounter God. Serving on this team involves Sunday services, attending Monday evening rehearsals, and optional weeknight worship sets for special events.
Kitchen team
If you are someone who works well on a team and loves to cook, serving in the Kitchen Team is a great choice for you! Whether it’s feeding 20 people or 200 people, the kitchen works together to make wonderful meals that bring people together!
Serving on this team would mean a time commitment on some Sundays (some kids events are on weeknights but optional).
Media team
By joining our Media Team you could help to facilitate events and Sunday services through running tech; including, slides, sounds, or lights— or you could capture those moments through photography/videography. Our Media Team is a great way to use your skills and learnt craft to serve God and his church. If you are someone who is passionate and willing to learn, beginner or professional, we’d love to have you on the team!
Front desk team
If you are you friendly, organized, and hospitably-minded this team is for you! Our Front Desk Team works throughout the week to welcome visitors, direct callers, and create a warm environment for anyone who enters our CA office!
Facilities
Serving on this team means occasionally coming in on weekdays to our Mariner Campus to help with the upkeep of our facilities with tasks such as gardening and painting.
Serve with Local Mission
The Dressing Room
A Tri-Cities Clothing Centre!
We focus on dressing the body and caring for the spirit through a personalized shopping experience. We do this in partnership with local community organizations bringing aid to those in various forms of crisis in the Tri-cities and neighboring communities.
Food Pantry
Here at CA Church one of the ways we respond to local needs in is through our Food Pantry by offering food to low income families or those who find themselves unemployed or in unexpected need.
Meal Makers
Meal Providers Ministry exists to show love and compassion by delivering meals to families who are experiencing illness or loss.
Refugee Settlement
Resettlement is often a difficult and stressful process. Our goal is to help equip these families with the support and skills necessary to rebuild their lives here in Canada. There are so many ways to be involved – from the official details and financial support, to helping with English skills, and simply building new friendships. Together, we can welcome refugees with love and support.
